Hello-
Read my post a while back about chirp or squeal noises. It turned out to be a slightly out of position, left side cover. I too could have sworn it was engine or transmission noice!
Felt like a real ass after I figured it out after crying to this forum about it!
Move it a little back and forth when you hear the noise and if it goes away you'll know.
